Wired Magazine has been recognized through the years as a tech digest, business journal, thought instigator, and design provocateur. As Condé Nast’s only tech property, its ad pages are dominated by luxury goods and emerging technologies. The design challenge with Wired was to push the boundaries of design while maintaining a business authority appeal.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
As Design Director for Marketing & Sales at Wired for five years I led a design team through print and digital applications of the Wired brand. My team’s focus was on generating advertising revenue through custom in-house advertising, online promotions, premium events, and a vast array of associated marketing initiatives. We were a full-service in-house design agency.
Good design stands the test of time. Twenty years later and these projects I designed and art directed in my time with WIRED still hold their own.
